Welcome to the Churchfield C.E. (VC) Primary School website.
Churchfield provides a friendly and caring community where pupils, parents, staff and governors work together to provide an environment where every child is able to fulfil their potential.
We are committed to providing a wide range of opportunities to inspire children, whatever their interests or talents. Children, teachers, and parents are enthused by our curriculum which aims to be challenging, diverse and exciting. We make learning fun and relevant. We are currently developing learning outside the classroom within the children’s experiences through our outdoor learning area.
Visitors to our school often comment on the friendly, calm and happy environment. We believe that we know every child as an individual, and place great importance on the establishment of strong and positive relationships with parents and carers.
At Churchfield C.E. (VC) we educate our children for the future, enabling them to develop as confident, independent, well-balanced individuals who care about their community and the wider world, and want to look after it. Children in our school learn how to be flexible and adaptable.
If you think that there is more we should add, or you have any comments, please contact me via email@example.com
Churchfield C.E. (VC) Primary School is a 5-11 Primary School with a Nursery catering for children in the year before they start school. Our Nursery runs morning sessions during term times. From September 2015 we also have our governor led Nursery – ‘Little Scholars’ for 2 and 3 year olds. Please see Extended School section for more information. Breakfast and After School clubs are also available.
All prospective parents and their children are warmly invited to visit the school, to meet the staff and pupils and see for yourself the friendly caring environment at Churchfield. We look forward to meeting you and welcoming you and your child into our school.
Anyone interested in working or supporting Churchfield is also welcome, but all positions are subject to a “disclosure” check under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. This school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people / vulnerable adults and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
At Churchfield C.E. (VC) Primary School we aim to prepare our students to become good citizens of the future. Through our curriculum we teach pupils British values and how to celebrate diversity. We aim to raise their awareness of radicalisation and extremist views, whatever the source. We have adopted the principles and advice found in ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education 2015’ and the 2011 ‘Prevent Strategy’. These are incorporated into our school policy on tackling extremism. For further information please visit our Policy page.
